Getting Started
InnovaDash is an analytics suite designed to turn raw MetaTrader data into actionable strategic insights. Built for traders who want to improve their trading by receiving advanced insights using InnovaDash. This documentation contains a set-up guide, explanation of over 50+ metrics and charts, and an explanation on how to customize your workspaces.
MetaTrader Sync (EA Setup)
Follow these steps to securely link your MT4/MT5 terminal to your InnovaDash environment using the Innova Connector Expert Advisor (EA).
1 Retrieve Secret Key
Navigate to the Account Settings (Person Icon) page in your dashboard. Under API Configuration, you will find your Secret Key. Click the copy icon to copy your unique identifier.
2 Terminal Configuration
In MetaTrader 4 or 5, go to Tools > Options > Expert Advisors. Check the box for "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" and add the following URL exactly: https://innovadash.com
3 Attach & Sync
Drag the downloaded Innova Connector EA onto any active chart. In the EA inputs window, paste your Secret Key. Once the EA Status dot at the top left of your web dashboard turns Green, your data is live and syncing automatically.
Filters & Parameters
InnovaDash allows for hyper-granular filtering. Instead of a global filter that changes the whole page, every single widget and chart has its own independent filter.
How to Filter a Widget
Hover over the bottom-left corner of any widget to reveal the blue Tune/Filter Icon. Clicking this opens the widget configuration panel.
- Date Range: Choose a specific lookback period (e.g., 7 Days, 30 Days, or Custom). The widget will recalculate its data instantly. Custom historical limits depend on your active plan.
- Symbols: Isolate performance. Select specific pairs or tickers (e.g., EURUSD, US100) to see how a specific asset performs regarding that metric. Leave it blank to aggregate all symbols.
- Max Items to Show: For list-based widgets (like Recent Trades), define exactly how many items you want to see.
Pro Tip: Set up multiple "Win Rate" widgets side-by-side, filtering one for EURUSD and one for GBPUSD to compare them instantly.
Innova AI Agent
Pro / Ultimate Feature
The Innova AI Assistant is a conversational interface connected directly to your encrypted trade history. It acts as your private quantitative analyst.
Usage
Click the floating AI sparkle icon in the bottom right to open the chat window. The AI reads your live equity, balance, and historically filtered trades to answer complex questions.

Profit Today
Total profit generated since midnight (local time).
Avg Daily PnL
Average daily return across the selected timeframe.
Gross Profit
Sum total of all winning trades.
Gross Loss
Sum total of all losing trades (absolute value).
Equity Float
Unrealized PnL (Equity minus Balance).
Recent Closed Trades
List widget displaying your most recently closed trades.
Active Open Trades
List widget displaying currently running positions and live floating PnL.
Trade Stats & Frequencies
Total Trades
Total closed positions over the selected period.
Long Trades
Total count of Buy positions.

Total count of Sell positions.
Avg Pos Size
Average volume (in Lots) per trade.
Avg Winning Trade
Average monetary gain of profitable trades.

Time In Market
Estimated percentage of total time where capital was exposed to risk.

Advanced Ratios
Profit Factor
Gross Profit divided by Gross Loss. >1.0 is profitable; >1.5 is excellent.
Net Profit Factor
Net Profit divided by Gross Loss.
Payoff Ratio
Average Win divided by Average Loss.
Expected Payoff
Average monetary return expected per trade taken.
Net Avg Trade
Net profit divided by all trades taken.
Win Rate
Percentage of trades closed in profit.
Long Win Rate
Win percentage for Buy positions only.
Short Win Rate
Win percentage for Sell positions only.
Gain to Pain Ratio
Total Return divided by Absolute Gross Loss.
Tail Ratio
95th percentile win magnitude divided by 5th percentile loss magnitude.
Omega Ratio
Probability-weighted ratio of winning trades versus losing trades.
Adj Net Profit
Total profit recalculated after removing the top 5% best trades (outlier adjustment).
Quant Risk & Drawdowns
Sharpe Ratio
Risk-adjusted return penalizing general volatility.
Sortino Ratio
Risk-adjusted return penalizing only downside volatility.
Calmar Ratio
Annualized return divided by Maximum Drawdown.
RoMaD
Return on Max Drawdown. Total Profit divided by Maximum Drawdown.
Recovery Factor
Net Profit divided by Maximum Drawdown.
SQN (System Quality)
Evaluates strategy robustness. Requires >30 trades.
Max Drawdown
Highest percentage drop from a peak equity high to a subsequent low.
Current Drawdown
Monetary distance from your absolute all-time high.
Avg Drawdown
Average depth of all equity pullbacks.
Max DD Duration
Longest consecutive period (in days) spent in a drawdown before making a new high.
Ulcer Index
Measures the depth and duration of drawdowns simultaneously.
VaR (95%)
Value at Risk. The expected loss of your 5th percentile worst trade.
Expected Shortfall
CVaR (95%). The average loss of trades that exceed your VaR threshold.
Kelly %
The mathematical optimal position sizing based on your win rate and payoff ratio.
Margin Utilization
Percentage of equity currently tied up as used margin.
Account Leverage
Maximum theoretical leverage ratio.

InnovaDash offers 25+ dynamic visual charts to map your data over time, asset, and duration.

- Profit Curve: Standard line chart of cumulative profit.

- Drawdown Curve: Red line chart tracking equity distance from absolute peaks.

- Rolling Win Rate: Tracks your win rate dynamically over a trailing 10-trade window.
- Trade Sequence PnL: Bar chart showing individual trade results in chronological order.
- Top Wins / Losses: Bar charts highlighting your 5 largest absolute winners and losers.
- Profit Factor / Month: Tracks your Profit Factor metric month-over-month.

InnovaDash dynamically restricts historical data lookbacks and workspace limits based on your active plan.

Downgrade Protocol
If you downgrade from Ultimate/Pro to Starter, the system will enforce the 1-workspace limit. Excess dashboards (D2, D3, etc.) will be permanently deleted. Please ensure you consolidate your favorite widgets to Dashboard 1 before downgrading.
Account Management
Manage your data security and MT5 connection via the Account Settings page.
Regenerating Your Secret Key
If you feel your Secret Key has been compromised, you can generate a new one instantly in your account settings. Warning: Generating a new key will instantly break the connection with your active MT5 EA. You will need to paste the newly generated key into your MetaTrader terminal to resume syncing.
Clear MetaTrader Data
You have the ability to perform a hard wipe of your synced data. Clicking "Clear MetaTrader Data" permanently deletes all synced history, stats, and trades from your InnovaDash environment. Note: Your actual MetaTrader account and broker data remain completely unaffected.
